Joseph is a financial planner with Sagemark Consulting. A perpetual learner, Joseph educates himself on the ever‐changing laws and rules of the market in order to help his clients navigate their financial landscape. By listening to what is truly important to his clients, he delivers a holistic, comprehensive plan which is creative and unique to each individual.

Prior to his career with the financial industry, Joseph worked with a Japanese seafood company, creating and managing relationships with high end American restaurants throughout the bay area. Working in this industry is what ignited Joseph’s passion for working with people to help them understand and plan for their future.

Joseph joined the financial industry at the end of 2010 because he wanted to make a difference in the way people planned and managed their financial future. As Joseph researched wealth and how to plan for financial success, he realized that not only do people have various and inconsistent ideas, but no one had a clear understanding of how their wealth was being managed. Joseph’s mission is to be an advocate for his clients and to partner with them as they take ownership of their finances through sound and prudent planning. In 2015,  Joseph joined Sagemark Consulting because of their focus on an individualized and conscientious service model.

Joseph is a graduate of the University of California, Riverside with a double major in Business Administration and Asian Literature and Cultures, Japanese. During his time at UC Riverside, he took a year to study abroad at Sophia University in Tokyo, Japan. He is active in  is community; a member of the El Cerrito Rotary Club, a board member of YMCA East Bay, a member of Richmond Chamber of  commerce and a member of the Berkeley Country Club. In his free time, he and his family enjoy traveling, wine, whiskey, cooking, and indulging in their taste for gastronomy.
